  "I want my New Homebuyer Credit NOW!"
  The IRS has obsticles that slow it down.
  1. You must file a paper return. (No electronic filing is permitted for this credit)
  2. The IRS is processing every New Homebuyer Credit return manually.
  3. You must submit specific acceptable documentation with the return.
  You must make a decision as to how you want to minimize your wait for your $8,000.00 refund.
  
  

  Let Mr. Audit Give You a Hand
  

  THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF TAXPAYER THAT WILL BE CLAIMING THE $8,000.00 CREDIT.

  1. The taxpayer that gets a large refund (for example $5,000.00) every year even without the $8,000.00 credit and does not need either refund as soon as possible. 
  STRATEGY: Get your W-2 and file your paper return as soon as possible. Claim both REFUNDS.

  Electronically file your return (and have your refund directly deposited) as soon as you can in January (you don’t need your W-2.) You will have your $5,000.00 refund in 7 days. After your electronically filed return is accepted. (24 Hours) Then you file an amended return for your Homeowner Credit.
  RESULT:  Rather than waiting 6-8 week or more for both refunds. You have part of your refund much sooner
  ADVANTAGE: You won’t delay the refund you would normally get.

  DISADVANTAGE: Higher accounting fee for filing a regular and an amended return. (Depending on the complexity of your return).
